A tool for evaluating geothermal power exploitability and its application to Ischia, Southern Italy

Abstract The paper proposes a method to evaluate the potential for electric power production at any site of possible geothermal interest. Accounting for geological data of the reservoirs, the method allows the computation of the available electrical power of the investigated site. Electrical energy production from geothermal sources is realized through different techniques, such as single flash and double flash, dry steam, and binary ORC plants. The technique chosen to be the most productive is determined by analyzing a specific range of geofluid properties, mainly temperature and pressure. Ischia Island is the emergent portion of a large volcanic complex on the Gulf of Naples (Southern Italy). Ischia volcano has undertaken a complex evolution since 150 ka b.p., with prolonged cycles of effusive and explosive eruptions alternated with quiescence periods (the most recent of which started after the 1302 A.D. Arso eruption). Neskatoties uz mūsdienu medicīnas attīstību, augsts pēcoperācijas sāpju līmenis vēl aizvien ir aktuāla problēma, īpaši traumatoloģijā. Apakšstilba lūzuma rekonstrukcijas operācijās kā pamata anestēzijas metode tiek lietota spinālā anestēzija (SA). Tiek meklētas papildus iespējas, kuras iekļaut multimodālās analgēzijas shēmā, lai efektīvi kontrolētu sāpes. N. ischiadicus bloks (NIB) varētu būt efektīvs perifēriskās nervu blokādes veids, kas samazinātu pēcoperācijas sāpju līmeni. Pētījuma aktualitāte: Apakšstilba vai pēdas pēcoperācijas sāpju mazināšanai multimodālas analgēzijas ietvaros tiek veikta n.ischiadicus blokāde. Tā kā lokālo anestētiķu darbības ilgums ir samērā īss, tiek veikti pētījumi par deksametazonu kā adjuvantu blokādes ilguma pagarināšanai. Mēs vēlamies Latvijā izpētīt deksametazona iedarbību uz n.ischiadicus bloka analgētiskās darbības ilgumu. Mērķis: Samazināt sāpes pacientiem pēc apakšstilba vai pēdas operācijām, pagarinot n.ischiadicus bloka analgētisko darbību, izmantojot deksametazonu kā adjuvantu.
